It scrolls the script as you speak it, in your language, on your device.
One purchase for iPhone, iPad and Mac. Free to start.
Simulated reading. In the app, the words light up as the microphone hears them.
Other teleprompters scroll at a speed you set and hope you match. Prompy matches you.
The script glides at the pace you are actually speaking, learned as you go. Pause to think and it waits.
Skip a line or go back to repeat one. Keep talking and the prompter re-anchors on the words it hears.
An aside to the camera, a question from the room. The text stays put with an “off script” badge until you return.
Timed mode scrolls at a steady words-per-minute you choose, for languages the recognizer does not cover yet.
Voice following works in English, Brazilian Portuguese and Spanish today, and in every other language Apple’s on-device speech recognition supports on your device. The same in all of them: 15 minutes a day free, unlimited with Pro.
The text follows your voice, so you can slow down, breathe, and pick up again.
O texto acompanha a sua voz, então você pode desacelerar, respirar e retomar.
El texto sigue tu voz, así que puedes ir más despacio, respirar y retomar.
Auto-detected. Prompy reads the script and picks the language. Override it per script when you mix.
Downloaded once. Apple’s speech models are fetched when you first open a script in a new language, then everything runs offline.
Three UI languages. The app itself speaks English, Português and Español.
Bring scripts in by paste, as .txt, .md or .pdf, from the share sheet, or by opening a file in Prompy. PDFs get their paragraphs repaired on the way in.
[Smile at the camera] shows on screen, smaller and dimmed. It is never spoken, so the prompter never waits for it.
HOST: at the start of a line colours the label so two readers can share one script.
Wrap a phrase in **bold** and it lands heavier on screen. Plain Markdown, nothing to learn.
Tags, search, recent-first. Per-script settings and scenario presets for the desk, the rig and the phone on a tripod.
Voice commands with a wake word you choose, in the same stream the prompter is already listening to. Clickers and keyboards work out of the box, with a key map you can edit.
Any Bluetooth presenter clicker is a keyboard to Prompy. Foot pedals too.
Film with the prompter on your screen and the script never in the video, so you look at the lens and the file stays clean.
Front or back camera, countdown, and a REC timer in the corner. Interruptions and thermal limits are handled, not ignored.
Every take lands in your library and in a takes list on the script, so the good one is easy to find.
“Prompter, start recording” begins the countdown. Say stop when you are done, or press R.
Recording is part of Prompy Pro.
Flip the text for a beam-splitter mirror, send it to a second display, or run the whole thing on a Mac next to your camera.
Set it per preset. The eye-line handle and controls stay unmirrored so you can still reach them.
The big screen shows only the prompter. Your device keeps the controls and the camera preview. Connecting never pauses the read.
Native macOS, menu bar commands, a Prompter Display window you can drop on any screen.
No subscription. Pro is a one-time unlock that covers your iPhone, iPad and Mac together.

Speech is recognized on the device by Apple’s own models. Your scripts stay in your library, or in your iCloud if you turn sync on. Prompy has no account, no server and no analytics SDK.
That is the App Store privacy label, and it is the whole policy.
The mic is on when the prompter is open and off when it is not.
Recordings go to your Photos library. Sync uses your own iCloud, never ours.
Requires iOS 26, iPadOS 26 or macOS 26.
